Sound

Meanwhile, the game contains a complex sound engine. On the one hand it is capable of playing single sounds with channel volume mixing to simulate a 3D origin of the sound. On the other hand we use background music to create some atmosphere.

Here are some sound samples made by Elliott.

If you are or want to become a sound artist: we are allways looking for sounds for our fantasy game, for example

  • yells (attacking [for men or monsters], beeing hurt, dying)
  • muttering of magic spells (for men and monsters, too)
  • sounds of metal on metal (e.g., sword hitting shields)
  • sounds of metal on wood
  • sounds of wood on wood
  • magic sounds (imagine something like a burning fireball or the fizzling of air turned to a plasma by magic rays, or thunder...)
  • opening of doors or chests
  • snoring of the party at rest :o)
  • everything you could imagine...
