Game Basics - Races

The following races are planned to be included into the project:

• humans
• elves
• dwarfs
• halflings

Humans receive no bonus on any character attribute. Indeed the differences to all other races are calculated from the human basis. Male humans will receive a bonus on strength, while female humans receive a bonus on dexterity, charisma and intelligence.

Elves are slighter than average humans. They are somewhat more skillful than them but have less vitality and strength. But people say that elves are the most beautiful and intelligent beings in this world. Male and female elves do not differ as much as humans do. Male elves are a bit stronger in general, while females are more dexterous.

Dwarfs are little, sturdy fighters. They are strong and have a good vitality. But intelligence and charisma is not their field. Male and female dwarfs look quite the same (it’s the beard, you know). Perhaps female dwarfs are a bit brighter but weaker than the males.

Halflings are even smaller than dwarfs and often quite flimsy. Therefore they can't be very strong and are not able to take much. But halflings are often skillful and very fast. Last but not least they seam to be quite smart. Other than for most races female halflings are a little bigger and stronger than male ones. But male halflings are even a bit faster than the females.

Three other races have been included into game versions up to 0.50alpha. They are at the moment temporarily removed. We plan to add them later as an extension. Those three races are: Half-Elves, Half-Orcs and Gnomes.
